With advancements in technology in sustainable fibres, bio-based dying, and garment finishing, garments are still being made with upwards of 30% wastage at the cutting room stage. There seems to be a disconnect and problem here. Is revisiting Zero Waste philosophy and newer 3D jacquard weaving the potentiel future ? Can we design garments that look using a Zero Waste philosophy?
