Gommatex is a company with a long-standing tradition in the textile industry, operating for three generations in both national and international markets. Founded in the 1960s in Prato by Mr. Giovannelli, thanks to his innovative vision, the company managed to stand out in a city historically dedicated to yarn and fabric production.
Specializing in fabric coating for eco-furs and lamination for apparel, leather goods, and footwear, Gommatex serves as a strategic partner for leading fashion brands. Despite remaining a family-run business, the company has experienced an exponential growth, always focusing on innovation and quality.

Today, Gommatex continues to evolve while staying true to its roots, reinforcing its role as a leader in textile excellence.
Italian textile excellence is at the heart of Gommatex’s Fabrics division. We make jacquard fabrics and denim, for apparel and leather goods. Thanks to our experience and continuous research, we guarantee quality, exclusivity in a perfect tailor made balance.

COATED
Innovation, performance and sustainability meet in Gommatex’s Coated division, where we develop high-quality coated and coagulated fabrics for the leather goods, footwear and apparel markets.
Our solutions combine advanced process techniques, offering strength, versatility and design tailored to our customers’ needs.
