Ideas are evolving. So are the rules. At Denim Première Vision, the talks take the pulse of an industry in transformation, exploring new ways of thinking about, creating and wearing denim. On the agenda: an immersive exploration of Summer 28 trends with the Première Vision Fashion Team, where workwear heritage meets innovation and creative freedom; fresh insights from Amy Leverton (Denim Dudes) on individuality, subcultures and personal style; and a thought-provoking perspective on the body as a driving force in design, at the intersection of fashion, art and architecture, featuring Cristina Bocali (Gucci Kering Accademia per le Eccellenze), Valeria Vantaggi (Vanity Fair), Tiziano Guardini and Salvatore Amura, (Valore Italia).

BOTTER explores denim through material research and transformation. Their Caribbean roots and close relationship with the natural world provide the starting point for this exploration.

"We are drawn to the way surfaces change through their environment and over time. This inspires us to experiment with texture and process, allowing unexpected qualities of the material to emerge. A continuing exploration of how a familiar material can take on new expressions".

BOTTER, AT THE FOREFRONT OF CREATIVITY

BOTTER is an avant-garde fashion label founded by Rushemy Botter and Lisi Herrebrugh, known for its distinctive approach blending tailoring, Caribbean influences and environmental commitment. In 2018, they won the Première Vision Grand Jury Prize at the Hyères Festival during its 33rd edition with their menswear collection, “Fish or Fight”. The jury that year was chaired by Haider Ackermann.

With DENIM, RECAST., BOTTER joins forces with Denim Première Vision and a selection of leading industry partners to explore denim through experimentation and reinvention. More than a showcase of finished pieces, DENIM, RECAST. invites visitors behind the scenes of innovation, revealing not only what is created, but how ideas take shape.

Part atelier, part material library, part laboratory, it brings together creative references, raw materials, experimental treatments and prototypes. An invitation to explore the creative journey behind each development, discover the decisions that shape it and experience innovation as it happens, long before the final product takes form.

Our approach to innovation begins with curiosity: how can we change the way denim behaves, feels or is perceived? We explore this through construction, washes, surface treatments and unexpected combinations of materials. For Denim Première Vision, the exchange with specialist makers is central. We bring a cultural and conceptual perspective, while their technical knowledge allows us to test ideas together and discover possibilities that neither side would reach alone.
